Mirror with L-Straps
Large Carved Mirror
This custom made carved mirror with L-strapping was created with panels from an intricately carved door surround, carved fragments and salvaged lumber. The edges are made with the carved fragments, with a kind of ric rac effect, and the carved panels are set into the mirror frame of reclaimed woods. It was then accented at the corners with flared iron L-straps. Additional photos include the antique material used, several details in the original honey finish, and then in the later darker color, with people at the edge of the photo showing the large scale of this 5 foot tall mirror.
