Hallway to Living Room Surround
Architectural elements, such as this living room surround, add character and ambience to your surroundings. Technically a case opening (a door without a door), it creates a bold, defining passage from the hallway to the living room. Made using salvaged lumber, it is adorned on either side with antique carved columns. The crown moulding header is inset with carved antique panels. It features a hand-rubbed patina with white accenting the carving details.
The additional photos show one of the antique columns used to create the surround, a view in the finish shop that helps convey scale, and a long shot of the installed surround from the hallway.
