Old World Carved Mantel
This fireplace mantel with carving was crafted from an antique carved corbel, antique panel and reclaimed lumber. Sections of the corbel were used to form smaller support corbels for the mantel, a detail more apparent in the side view. The antique panel wraps around the upper portion of the mantel. A warm, rich custom finish completes the mantel for the master bedroom in a remodeled cottage. Additional photos include the antique pieces used to make the mantel.
