Double Doors
Front Entry
These double doors were constructed using a pair of antique doors and reclaimed Douglas fir. The doors feature custom iron strapping with decorative clavos and 7 inch heavy duty pull rings with disk escutcheons. Click on the additional photos to see antique doors as well as the progression of the doors. They started out with a mesquite-like gray patina on the front and the warm wood finish on the back. Then pull-rings and iron strapping with clavos were added to front of the door and the finish changed to natural wood, while foot bolts were added to the back of the doors. In the final version of the doors, more of the wood is exposed (and, unfortunately, the hardware was wrapped for shipping).
